Welcome Message - Please read!

I encourage all of you to go to the Main Page of our Network and read (or reread) the “About Us” message from the Network Founder.

Some of our members are very experienced successful social networkers. This is a great place to learn from their experience. Please help us make this group a better place for all of us to learn and grow our business SKILLS. This is NOT a place to grow our Business. Your “MyPage” is the place to advertise your business. If people like what you post, they will go check out your page.

I appreciate each one of you and look forward to getting to know you and to becoming friends.

Many of my current friends and business partners are people that I have met in groups like this one. If we treat each other professionally and with respect, that’s the way others will treat us.

The essence of this conversation is that there is no fast way to build a business online. Social media is about creating relationships. And creating relationships takes time. Once a relationship is created, then in my experience business can and often does happen. We like to do business with people we like.

I am doing business with many people that I have met online in communities like this. I have either joined their business, bought product from them, joined one of their affiliates or referred them to someone I know that I think will be interested in what they offer.

An important issue for me before I do business with someone online, I want to get to know and trust them.

Like JD,. I usually delete people from my contacts if they send me promotional messages.

Hi, John I am 100% agree with all you say in your comment. It is true, some time we can not see the difference between spam or email with promoting inside. I understand now what you say, and what I will do. thanks for your comment and thanks to Michael to let me know about it also. we keep in touch.

Hi Niovel,

As you say, it can be a fine line between participating and spamming. One delimiter is sending emails or messages, even to friends, that are promotional or commercial in nature.

I think it is a good idea to only promote via email if you have an opt-in list and the subscribers know that you will be offering recommendations.

Otherwise, it's probably best to post to your blog(s) and let others find what you are promoting and selling. If they're interested, they'll follow what you say. If not, they found you - you didn't intrude upon them.

I think that makes a world of difference.

Today, I deleted three friends on MySpace, because all they're doing is sending me promotional messages and trying to put their ads on my profile page by including them in their comments. It was easy to delete their comments and remove them as friends.

On the other hand, I welcomed a message from Pat, telling me that she'd started this group. She was inviting me to participate in something she knew I was interested in, but wasn't trying to sell me on something. That's the big difference.

The more we help each other, the better the group will be.

Some of us may look at your profile to see what you are (or any other member is) promoting. If we like what we see, we'll contact you.

Does that help any?

Act on your dream!

The first thing to know is as you say. How to promote without spam? the other day I send an email to all my friends and some of them said taht I was spamming and they will report me so that will cancel my account in this community. so is goog to learn how to do it. but I guess if you are aggree with be a friend then you know that your friends will talk about their business to you. in my case not beause I want to join me, like recruiting people, but just the fact that the products mean for people, ofcourse if they want to join.. perfect...isn't ?
