Two Mistakes a Fool Makes
By Rev. Dean Beaty 11/19/09
James 4:14 “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow.
For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little
time, and then vanisheth away.” (KJV)
A man can be a fool in many different ways.
Two are very certain and common for these days.
To say there is no God; the Lord calls him a fool.
No matter how much wealth or if he went to school.
To look up at the stars and not know there's a God,*
To think it's all by chance, to me is very odd.
A man can be a fool and have a PHD.
This fool has lost his soul for all eternity.
Then fool number two says, “Tomorrow is for sure.”
In his foolish thinking, he always will endure.
But God says, “What is life? It's like a wisp of smoke.”
To think that life is sure is Satan's cruel joke.
Tomorrow never comes, though many plan that way.
“I'll always have a chance. I'll put it off today.”
God says, “Today's the day.”** Tomorrow may not come.
Don't make a fool's mistake and to God be deaf and dumb.
*Psalm 19:1 “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament
sheweth his handywork.” (KJV)
**II Corinthians 6:2 “For God saith, I have heard thee in a
time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee:
behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (KJV)
